Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements rise before Phantom Liberty launch

What are the Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements? The Phantom Liberty expansion raises the floor for Cyberpunk 2077 PC specs, doing away with official HDD support and more. Regardless of whether you plan to light Night City with ray tracing or not, you may need to upgrade your system to play the RPG.

The Cyberpunk 2077 minimum requirements have risen in every way possible. You won’t need the best graphics card, but now CD Projket Red says you’ll need at least an Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB, AMD Radeon RX 580, or Intel Arc A380 in your system. Processors see a similar spike too, with the Intel Core i7 6700 and AMD Ryzen 5 1600 setting the new floor, paired with 12GB of RAM.

Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements

Here are the Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements:

Minimum Recommended
OS Windows 10 64-bit Windows 10 64-bit
CPU Intel Core i7 6700
AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Intel Core i7 12700
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X
GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
AMD Radeon RX 580
Intel Arc A380
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super
AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
Intel Arc A770
Storage 70GB SSD 70GB SSD

It’s a similar story with the Cyberpunk 2077 recommended specs too. The GPU jump isn’t too high, with the RTX 2060 Super, Radeon RX 5700 XT, and Arc A770 all being relatively mainstream and affordable pixel pushers. You will need something close to the best gaming CPU though, as the Intel Core i7 12700 and AMD Ryzen 7 7800X take centre stage, in addition to another 4GB of RAM, bringing things up to 16GB.

While the Cyberpunk 2077 size requirements haven’t changed, the device you need to play it on has. Mechanical hard drives have no place in the future, fictional or otherwise, and you’ll need to play the game on the best SSD your system has.

For those of you with ray tracing capable hardware, CD Projekt Red has laid out some separate Cyberpunk 2077 ray tracing PC specs. The above skews should set you up for a 1080p experience at 30fps and 60fps, respectively.

Cyberpunk 2077 also supports DLSS 3 if you’re running an RTX 40-series GPU, with the developer calling for the Nvidia RTX 4080 as the base graphics card for turning on the ‘Ray Tracing: Overdrive preset’.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty release date isn’t for a while yet, but these changes will come into effect in the next update to the base game, according to an official blog post.
