Unfortunately, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is exclusive to next-gen consoles, only available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will not arrive on the Nintendo Switch either. It could potentially come as a cloud version later down the road, but it seems unlikely.
The decision to make Star Wars Jedi: Survivor exclusive to next-gen consoles was made to avoid being limited by the hardware capabilities of older platforms. Game director Stig Asmussen revealed that the team didn’t want to scale back their ambitions for the less powerful systems in an interview with PLAY Magazine. They wanted to build on the strong foundation laid by Jedi: Fallen Order and create a true new-gen experience in the Star Wars universe.
The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S provide faster processors, larger memory, and quicker loading times, enabling larger maps, more detailed environments, and an overall better gaming experience. The hardware limitations of last-gen consoles, such as PS4 and Xbox One, probably couldn’t handle the graphical demand or gameplay mechanics of this sequel.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launches on April 28, and the only platforms it will be available on are PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. While other new titles have chosen to release a last-gen version later down the line, there are currently no plans for Jedi: Survivor to hit older hardware.
