How to get Curious Egg in Core Keeper

To get the Curious Egg, you’ll need to purchase it for 375 coins from the Slime Merchant, which you’ll encounter shortly after defeating Glurch the Abominous Mass in the early part of the game. The Curious Egg is described as a “mysterious, curly-tailed egg that seems to react to your presence.”

Once you place the Curious Egg into the Incubator, it will become a Cracked Curious Egg, which will then hatch an Embertail. The Embertail is described as, “Spontaneous and impulsive in nature, this pet is as fierce in battle as it is at clawing at furniture. But also incredibly cuddly.” It is modeled after a real-life cat and has a “fiery ranged attack” while its eyes give you a +2 glow, which helps when dealing with Cavelings.

Remember, in order to hatch any of the eggs found in the world, you will need to craft the copper workbench (you can do so at the wood workbench), which was added in this update, so you can then craft the incubator. You will need to be patient before your egg will hatch in your incubator!

We hope this guide helped you figure out how to get the Curious Egg in Core Keeper and add it to your collection of companions! Good luck leveling up your new friend. Check out more Core Keeper coverage.
